RESUME/BIOGRAPHY

Ariel Chazanas has been involved in real estate throughout his entire life and has been exposed to every facet of the multifamily investment and development business starting at the age of 6. His family has always owned, developed and managed apartment buildings and from an early age Ari would visit these properties with his father and observe his interactions with tenants, construction workers and brokers. As he grew older he became more involved in the business

LOTUS WEST PROPERTIES

In his late 20’s Ari started his own company, Lotus West Properties, and began with 20 units. Collaborating with numerous real estate investors in the evaluation, acquisition and syndication of multi-residential apartment buildings, the company’s portfolio of management grew. In recent years the company has begun taking on 3rd party management and has expanded its management portfolio in the greater Los Angeles area to over 600 units and currently employs a team of 12 full time employees. Ari remains involved in the day-to-day management operations of these buildings and maintains an ownership/controlling stake in several of them as well.

REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT & CONDOMINIUM CONVERSIONS

In the early 2000’s Ari helped identify and purchase apartment buildings with condominium tract maps in Brentwood, Long Beach, Santa Monica, and Santa Clarita. With a small group of partners these buildings were purchased and fully renovated, the condominium conversion process was finalized, and the units were sold off as individual condominium units at a profit. 95 units were sold utilizing this process.

Ari has also invested in several single family residence and duplex renovation and construction projects in both Inglewood and Los Angeles that were sold at a profit.

HAVEN CO-LIVING

In 2019 Ari became a founding member of Haven, a co-living investment group. With his 2 cofounders, they identified and purchased their first property, a 4 building small lot subdivision in Venice which they renovated to become a co-living community focused on health & wellness, with 96 beds. In 2020 they identified and renovated a 2nd property to house 86 beds. They are planning a major expansion in 2021.

PERSONAL

Ari is happily married with 3 young children. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from UCLA and holds a real estate license in the State of California. Ari is a board member of Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles.
